Richard Anuszkiewicz was a wizard- a wizard of Op Art that is. His geometric paintings explore the chemistry of complimentary colors and the optical changes that happen when high-intensity colors are applied to the same square shapes. The results vary dramaticly, creating a glowing symphony of colors that seem to leak off the canvas. This untitled sergraph in particular is reminiscent of a late summer sunrise- brilliant and soothing.
